1. Main Job Purpose
Support the Ivan Toms Centre and its mobile units to carry out data-related admin work, patient file capture, and the compilation of reporting as required.
2. Role Deliverables

| Clinical and Programmatic Data Capturing | · Capture client and programme performance data onto multiple concurrent information systems such as tier.net, redcap, online appointment booking systems, and others as requested.
· Follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures for data capturing. · Ensure all client folders are appropriately filed and accessible for clinical use, data capturing, and other administrative needs. · Adhere to all data and risk management protocols to ensure on staff access to information systems and client confidentiality are maintained. |
| Data Quality and Improvement Activities | · Ensure that all source data from client files is correctly captured and accurately aligned across all data systems and reports.
· Identify and report any discrepancies or challenges encountered with data capturing or verifications. · Actively participate in quality improvement plans and activities for Ivan Toms Centre and its mobile unit. · Assist with the identification of opportunities to use data for quality improvement, operational research, and learning. |
| Reporting and other Administration Duties | · Use electronic medical records systems to generate and action line lists for patient and programme management.
· Ensure that all relevant reports are submitted on time. · Generate data for programme mgmt. reports used for tracking progress and performance by the M&E Officer. · Complete other administrative tasks as requested by the M&E officer or project manager · Participate in key facility meetings and programmatic reviews. · Participate in capacity building and training activities. |
3. Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in data capturing or collection in a health systems research environment or within the public health sector.
