1. Main Job Purpose
To provide technical support in allocated sub-districts within Anova’s innovative Advanced HIV Disease support project
Anova Health Institute is implementing an Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) project aimed at improving the prevention, identification, monitoring, and management of AHD through improved guideline implementation, clinical decision support, clinician learning, and client engagement. The project will support implementation of South Africa’s updated National Consolidated HIV Guidelines, including the newly introduced AHD chapter, in two demonstration districts.
The role includes programme technical support and review, clinical expertise, capacity building and stakeholder engagement in the allocated sub-districts.

3. Qualifications and Experience
- MBChB degree or BCurr with a Postgraduate qualification with Primary Health Care speciality (Nurse Clinician)
- Valid HPCSA registration as Independent Practioner or valid SANC registration
- Minimum 2 years’ post community service clinical experience (for medical doctors) and 5 years for Nurse Clinicians
- HIV Management training essential, NIMART trained and graduated (Nurse Clinician)
- Experience delivering or supporting ACC/AHD care
- Experience in technical support, HCW capacity building and engagement with DoH
- Report writing, data analysis and presentation skills and good understanding of funder-driven targets
- Quality Improvement and project management skills, an advantage
- Valid driver’s license
