1. Main Job Purpose
Anova Health Institute is implementing an Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) project aimed at improving the prevention, identification, monitoring, and management of AHD through improved guideline implementation, clinical decision support, clinician learning, and client engagement. The project will support implementation of South Africa’s updated National Consolidated HIV Guidelines, including the newly introduced AHD chapter, in two demonstration districts.
Working with the Public Health Specialist and Technical Advisor for Public Health, the Public Health Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation activities throughout the lifecycle of the project.

3. Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in appropriate discipline (Public Health, Epidemiology or closely related science)
- 2-3 years’ experience in the health sector, HIV/TB advantageous
- Experience with statistical software (e.g. SPSS/STATA/R) required, REDCap advantageous
- Ability to summarise, interpret and visualise complex data
- Scientific report writing and presentation skills
- Knowledge of South African health services
- Experience supporting public sector/NGO health programmes
