1. Main Job Purpose
Anova Health Institute is implementing an Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) project aimed at improving the prevention, identification, monitoring, and management of AHD through improved guideline implementation, clinical decision support, clinician learning, and client engagement. The project will support implementation of South Africa’s updated National Consolidated HIV Guidelines, including the newly introduced AHD chapter, in two demonstration districts.
Working with the Public Health Team, the Research Assistant will be responsible for data collection and management related to evaluation throughout the lifecycle of the project.

3. Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in appropriate discipline (Public Health, Epidemiology or closely related science) preferred
- Experience in HIV/STI health services and research, with experience in both qualitative and quantitative data collection
- Experience working in Johannesburg/ South African public health sector facilities
