1.Main Purpose
The Mobile team coordinator is responsible for coordinating the planning and implementation needed to reach the targets and performance expectations assigned for their mobile team. Specifically, this includes working with the Profession Nurse (team lead) to develop strategies for both reaching high risk Men who have sex with men (MSM) with HIV testing, treatment, PrEP, and other health care support as well as keeping these clients retained in care over time.

| Logistical Support, Planning, and Client Coordination | · Design in-person and digital outreach strategies to engage new and existing MSM clients and link them to the mobile unit.
· Maintain an accurate and up to date client cohort database · Coordinate the scheduling of clients with the Professional Nurse (team lead) and ensure clients are confirmed and available for all appointments. · Ensure all required equipment, commodities, and vehicles are available daily and maintained according to project protocol. |
| Implementation of community-based activities and mobile clinical services | · Safely transport outreach teams to various destinations as and when required.
· Directly provide HTS, PrEP, index testing, EPOA, ART services as and when required in line with organizational protocol and DOH guidelines. · Implement other required activities such as community-based workshops, EPOA, and index testing as and when required. |
| Report and Admin Support | · Provide daily reports on all outreach activities conducted to Professional Nurse (team lead)
· Ensure clinical and programme data is completed and managed in line with data management SOP and guidance · Provide support in administration or other activities as and when required. |
3. Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of Grade 12.
- HIV counselling and testing certificate.
- At least 2-years experience in HIV testing services and providing adherence support.
- Experience working with networks of MSM’s in the Cape Town Metro.
- Excellent customer service and support skills.
- Basic supervisory and leadership skills.
- Valid Driver’s license with PrD is preferred
- Willing to go for a driver’s assessment every 3 years.
- Must be organised and have time management skills.
- Innovative and solution driven.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Willing to travel to various communities for outreach as and when required.
